In recent years, our country, including the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), has been actively implementing state national and language policies that attach great importance to the mission of education to preserve the languages and cultures of the peoples of Russia. In 2023, the Concept of Teaching the Yakut Language, Literature and Culture was adopted, the first congress of teachers of native languages of indigenous peoples of the North was held, among the main problems noted was the lack of monitoring of the quality of ethnocultural education. In 2024, the development of a comprehensive system for assessing the quality of education in the native language, studying the culture of indigenous peoples of the region began. The article presents the result of the first stage of applied research, during which a general model for monitoring ethnocultural education was designed, consisting of four components: (1) monitoring of the management of ethnocultural education, conducted by the ministry in all educational organizations;(2) monitoring of speech development of children in their native language in the form of longitudinal studies on selective tracking and documentation of the development of oral and written speech (corpus of educational texts), the formation of ethnocultural competencies; (3) monitoring the quality of educational achievements in the subject area "Native language and native literature", extracurricular activities on national culture; (4) monitoring of public opinion on the quality of ethnocultural education. The author describes the results of testing the first component of comprehensive monitoring —systematic standardized observation of the state of ethnocultural education and the mechanism for it simple mentation using an automated information system, and provides recommendations for it simple mentation in practice.
